Viewing and interacting with Events

You can view events in Parentr from both the Home screen and within your Class. Events listed on the Home screen provide a quick overview of everything happening across all your classes, while accessing events from a specific class allows you to focus on its activities.

To view an event:

  • Navigate to Home or your Class and tap on the event card.
  • Once opened, you will see the Event Details page, where you can:
  • View event information such as date, time, and description.
  • Participate in event chats.
  • RSVP and track responses.
  • Sign up for tasks and other activities.
  • Engage with any other activated functions like money collection and polls.

For past events, tap Archive to browse previously held events.

To review events that have already occurred:

  • Tap Archive to browse past events.
  • Select an event to view the Event Details.

Tracking RSVP

RSVP tracking helps parents and admins to stay informed about event participation. 

  1. Navigating to the RSVP Section
    • From the Home screen, tap the Event.
    • Scroll to the Event Registration section.
  2. Viewing the Event Registration
    • Register to the event by selecting Going, Maybe or Not Going
    • View a summary of all responses.
    • See which class parents have viewed the event.
    • All parent members can track RSVPs and event views.

How to Sign up for a Task

Signed-up tasks are not immediately visible in the Tasks menu like regular tasks.

1. Viewing Available Tasks

  • Select your Event from the Home screen.
  • Tap on Signups to see available tasks.

2. Signing Up for a Task

  • Tap the Sign Up button next to an available task.
  • If a task does not have a Sign Up button, it means that it has already been filled. You can also see the number of remaining sign-up slots, who has already signed up, and the due date for the sign-up.
  • To cancel, tap Cancel Sign-up.

3. Task Assignment

  • Once signed up, the task will be added to your Tasks screen.
  • Signing up for a task creates an individual task assigned specifically to you.

Event Chat

Event Chat in Parentr allows focused communication tied directly to a specific event. Class admins can enable an Event Chat when needed, providing an organized space for parents to discuss event details, ask questions, and share updates.

All class members are automatically included when an Event Chat is enabled, ensuring everyone stays informed.

Note: Only class admins can enable, manage members, or delete an Event Chat.

Interacting with Polls

Polls in Parentr are tied directly to specific events, allowing class members to easily provide feedback or vote on options related to an event.

How to Participate in a Poll:

1. Open the Event Details for the event you’re interested in.

2. Scroll down to the Polls section and tap the poll you wish to interact with.

3. Choose your desired response(s) and tap Submit Vote.

Polls can be customized by the class admin to:

• Allow multiple responses.

• Enable anonymous voting.

• Set a specific duration or deadline.

Poll results will update automatically, helping everyone stay informed.

Money Collection

The Money Collection feature in Parentr simplifies the process of gathering funds for class events or group needs. Class admins can set a clear target amount, helping parents easily track progress toward the goal.

How Money Collection Works:

• The class admin sets up the collection, specifying the target amount and providing details about the purpose.

• Parents receive notifications and can easily contribute directly through Parentr.

• Contributors can choose to remain anonymous if they prefer.

• Both admins and parents can view the list of contributors and track the progress towards the target amount.

Note: Only the class admin can request a payout of collected contributions.
