Terms of Service for Parentr

1. Introduction
Welcome to Parentr! These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Parentr, an app developed and operated by Vintergatan LLC, located in Fort Worth, Texas, USA ("we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using Parentr, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, you must not use the app.
Parentr is designed to help parents and school communities organize events, sign-ups, money collection, class communication, and more.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Parentr. By using the app, you confirm that you meet this requirement. If you are a minor, your parent or guardian must review and agree to these Terms on your behalf.
3. Account Registration & Security
To use certain features, you may need to create an account by providing accurate, complete, and up-to-date information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that provide false information or violate these Terms.
4. Acceptable Use
When using Parentr, you agree to:
• Use the app only for legal and intended purposes.
• Not upload or share inappropriate, abusive, or offensive content.
• Not attempt to hack, disrupt, or reverse-engineer the app.
• Not engage in fraudulent activities, including misuse of the money collection feature.
• Respect the privacy and data of other users.
Violation of these rules may result in account suspension or termination.
5. Features & Services
5.1 Event Planning & Sign-Ups
Users can create and manage events, sign-ups, and task lists within their school community.
5.2 Money Collection (via Stripe)
Parentr facilitates money collection for class gifts and activities through Stripe.
We do not store full payment details; transactions are securely handled by Stripe.
Any disputes or refunds should be handled directly with the organizer of the collection.

5.3 Chat & Messaging
Parentr includes a chat feature for school-related discussions.
Messages are not monitored, but we reserve the right to remove reported content that violates our policies.
Users should exercise caution when sharing personal information.
5.4 Calendar Sync
Users can sync Parentr events with their personal calendars. This feature requires access permissions that users can revoke at any time.

We prioritize user privacy and comply with GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable regulations.
7. Subscription & Payments
7.1 Free & Premium Plans
• Parentr offers both free and premium features. Premium subscriptions provide access to additional features as described at the time of purchase.
• A free trial may be available for new subscribers before transitioning into a paid subscription.
• The duration of the free trial is displayed at the time of sign-up. Users will be automatically charged at the end of the trial period unless they cancel before the trial expires.
7.2 Payment Processing & Auto-Renewal
• Payments are securely processed through Stripe, Apple App Store, and Google Play Store.
• Subscriptions automatically renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the renewal date.
• Subscription fees are billed in advance based on the selected plan and are non-refundable, except where required by law.
• Users can manage or cancel their subscriptions through their respective app store settings:
• Apple Users: Manage subscriptions
• Android Users: Manage subscriptions
• Deleting the app does NOT cancel your subscription. Users must manually cancel their subscription through the relevant platform before the next billing cycle to avoid charges.
7.3 Refunds
• All refund requests are handled by the respective app store and are subject to their policies.
• Users may request refunds through the following platforms:
• Apple App Store: Request a refund
• Google Play Store: Request a refund
• Google Play refunds may be available within 48 hours of purchase, subject to Google’s policies. Apple refunds are at Apple’s discretion.
• Parentr does not process refunds directly.
7.4 Changes to Pricing & Subscription Plans
• We may modify subscription pricing or features at any time. If changes occur, users will be notified in advance, and new pricing will apply at the next billing cycle.
8. Termination & Suspension
We may suspend or terminate your account if:
• You violate these Terms.
• Your activities create legal risk for us or other users.
• You engage in fraudulent or unauthorized activities.
We reserve the right to terminate without notice in cases of serious violations.
9. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability
9.1 No Guarantees
Parentr is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the app will be error-free or available at all times.
9.2 Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for:
• Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages resulting from your use of Parentr.
• Unauthorized access to your account or personal data.
• Any issues arising from third-party services, including Stripe.
10. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Vintergatan LLC harmless from any claims, damages, or expenses resulting from your violation of these Terms or misuse of Parentr.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms at any time. Users will be notified of significant changes via in-app notifications or email. Continued use of Parentr after updates means you accept the revised Terms.
12. Governing Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by the laws of Texas, USA. Any disputes will be resolved in Texas courts, unless required otherwise by applicable law.
